Online Character Database
You may create and update your character online, using our Character Generator. Note that you must create a character in the database so that we can track the CP you earn beyond the starting 30, and print character cards for you.
We have completed the transfer of existing characters to our new Madrigal II Character Generator - please correct any saved bookmarks to this link. We have posted login instructions on the Mailing List; if you have any questions, or your login (or automatic login request) does not work, please email Logistics with the following information: first and last name, email address, and desired login name. Once you've received the your login, sign in and (re)create your character.

Earning Character Points
Character points can be applied to any of your characters, but no character may receive more than 15 character points in a year. Character points can be used to buy new skills and to raise attributes. Players may earn character points by playing the game and helping out in various ways:
- There may be ways to gain character points within the game itself. Characters who gain character points in game are said to "gain Inspiration". Inspiration awards are rare, and you might play for years without seeing them.
- Each Adventure Weekend you attend as a player or a staff earns you one character point. Adventure Nights are just for fun and do not earn character points.
- If you submit a summary letter after an Adventure Weekend or an Adventure Night, you can gain up to .5 character points from it. Summary letters must be submitted within one week of an Adventure Night and within two weeks of an Adventure Weekend to gain this award.
- Helping set up the game or staying after an event to help clean up will gain you .25 character points, or .5 character points if there is a lot of work that needs to be done. You must be given a task by the clean-up staff to gain this award.
- Participating in a related Accelerant game in a staff or NPC role will also gain you character points that can be applied to Madrigal character. Please note that you may still only apply the maximum of 15 CP per year, no matter how they are earned.
If you do NPC for another game, and you want your CPs applied to a Madrigal character, you are expected to submit an email to Logistics. In your email you should answer the following questions:
- What game did you attend as an NPC?
- What was the date of the event you attended?
- Did you NPC for the entire event?
- Did you help with clean up?
- Did you submit a summary letter?
Players may gain character point awards by helping out in other ways. Arrangements must be made on a case-by-case basis.
- Finally, we are asking our players to help us generate higher NPC numbers. Any PC who refers a new NPC will get an additional .5 CPs to apply when that new NPC pre-registers for a weekend event. Furthermore, each NPC who attends all four events will earn .5 CPs for the lucky PC who convinced them to come. Although these special CPs cannot be applied to other games, we are willing to retroactively apply them to characters. That means that newer characters can "catch up" and make the game more fun by helping us find NPCs.
We make no guarantees about the value of character points. This award is transient, since your character could die at any time. Character points are meant only to add to the flavor of the game. The real reward for playing Madrigal is the time you have spent at the game.

Information & Production Skills
Production or Creation Skill uses are submitted after the end of an event either at check out or later via the Internet. There are request sheets at check-out for creation skills, or you may send email to madrigalproduction@accelerantgames.com with the appropriate information. The items you create are available at the beginning of the next event for which you pre-register. You must show any required tags and submit required materials whenever you make an item, or when you receive items if you submitted the request using the Internet. There may also be opportunities to use creation skills at special times during the course of the game if you have the skill and the required materials are available. If you do make a creation skill request at the end of an event, we highly suggest that you follow up the request with an email.
Knowledge Skills are submitted as questions pertaining to the appropriate skill after the end of an event, either at check-out or later via the Internet. There are request sheets at check-out for information skills, or you may send email to madrigalinfoskill@accelerantgames.com with the appropriate information. You must submit any necessary money when you submit the question, or during the next event for which you preregister if you submitted it over the Internet. There is no guarantee that you will receive an answer at the next event, or at all, depending on the question and other in game considerations. If the answer does come, it will come during an event through a character who will seek you out in game. We highly suggest that you mention these submissions in your Summary Letter. In order to best handle logistics in a timely and efficient fashion, players must submit creation and knowledge skills at least two weeks before any event. The submission for an Adventure Night must be in before the end of the previous Wednesday, and the submission for an Adventure Weekend must be in before the end of the previous Friday.
