Campaign Information

There is great unrest in the continent of Aerune. In the mysterious ruins of Shadowfane in the wild northlands, the fell remnants of the War of the Heart echo throughout time and space. The Nalachim, foul servants of the new god of Maladiction, have raised up the ancient black temples of that place, and uncovered treasures and secrets long hidden.

The brave heroes of Shadowfane had vanished on the night of Merekiel's ascension, and many believed they were forever lost. But rumors have reached the southern lands that the Tapestry itself has parted, revealing the heroes once more. But much has changed in the ten years since the Night of Falling Stars, and Shadowfane holds many new and terrifying dangers. Corrupted beasts and worse roam those wild lands, and Shadowfane remains the site of the Crimson Gate, which has once before brought war to all of Aerune.

Since the introductory rulebook lacks basic information about the campaign world, the following short explanations are meant to give players more insight to the world and the way the game is played. Much more information may be discovered during events!

"In Recent Times..." - A brief summary of the last ten years of Aerune's history.

The Ways of Aerune - The laws of the White Court, social customs, and the commonly understood ways of the lands of Shadowfane.

The Mythos of Aerune - The gods and powers which hold sway over the world of Aerune.

The Lands of Aerune - The known kingdoms of Aerune, and a brief desciption of their peoples and ways.

The Races of Aerune - The most common races of Aerune, including those from beyond the Crimson Gate.
